10 Reasons To Choose Zenfone 3 Max

The smartphone market in India is full of a variety of options. There are smartphones that look good, have a decent camera or offer a good battery life. However, it is difficult to come across a smartphone that packages all these features and more in one sleek unit. This is where ASUS’ latest addition to the hugely successful Zenfone 3 family, Zenfone 3 Max comes into the picture. Given below are 10 reasons that show the superior capabilities of Zenfone 3 Max:

Design and Construction

Design has become an intrinsic part of a smartphone’s features. It is imperative for a smartphone to have an aesthetic appearance besides offering advanced features. Furthermore, a smartphone needs to be made out of superior quality material in order to look and feel luxurious.

ASUS Zenfone3 Max
Zenfone 3 Max sports a sophisticated glass touchscreen in a finely sandblasted full-metal, aluminium alloy-body. Its brilliant diamond cut chamfered edges, anodized to give it an attractive, shiny metallic finish, are matched around the back by a gently curving rear cover that feels natural to hold, giving the phone a sleek and elegant look.

Battery

Smartphones are used for a multitude of tasks such as accessing e-mails, social media accounts, playing games, watching videos and movies and listening to songs. They are no longer the simple gadget meant to make calls and send text messages. As such, it is important for them to sport a battery that can support the user’s requirements without making them look for an alternate source of power to charge their phones.

Equipped with an extremely long-lasting, high capacity 4100mAh lithium-polymer battery, Zenfone 3 Max allows consumers to use the phone for a full working day and beyond. In fact, it also doubles up as a fast-charge power bank for charging other devices and is one of the lightest and most compact smartphones with a battery that is more than 4000 mAh in capacity.

Intelligent Power Modes

While a powerful battery helps in ensuring a smooth functioning of the smartphone and its various features, having different power modes to suit the user’s needs can help in increasing the longevity of the battery even further. This is particularly useful on days when a user anticipates higher than normal mobile usage and needs to conserve the available battery life for important tasks.

To optimize performance, Zenfone 3 Max offers five selectable power modes that enable users to regulate their usage according to their needs - Performance mode, Normal mode, Power saving mode, Super Saving mode and Customized mode.

Camera

A good camera is one of the most basic requirements from a smartphone. Being companion devices, they help the users capture their special moments. Hence, it is important for the smartphone to be able to click flawless pictures that can help the users treasure and cherish these memories forever.

Designed specifically for photography enthusiasts, the two versions of Zenfone 3 Max (5.5 inch & 5.2 inch) feature extraordinary 16 MP and 13 MP cameras respectively that deliver crystal clear images. The PixelMaster cameras capture beautiful, high-resolution photos with zero shutter lag. The smartphones also sport 8 MP (5.5 inch) and 5 MP (5.2 inch) front cameras for flawless selfies.

Camera Modes and Features

Besides providing a good camera specifications, the smartphone should also provide software enhancements to elevate the user’s camera experience. Such features enable the users to click better pictures and even work on the pictures and improve their quality, after they have been captured!

Zenfone 3 Max is packed with powerful camera modes to capture every precious mode. The industry-leading Backlight (Super HDR) mode lets users see clearly through daytime shadow, Super Resolution captures multiple shots simultaneously for a single photograph with stunning 64MP(5.5 inch)/ 52MP(5.2 inch) detail and Low Light mode takes clear and bright photos, even in poor lighting. The 16MP camera of the Zenfone 3 Max (5.5 inch) features an advanced triple technology autofocus system which ensures a superfast focus time of 0.03 seconds.— laser, phase detection and conventional contrast detection for continuous auto-focus. This harmonious system automatically selects the best one depending on the subject, lighting and range. For capturing stunning handheld videos with the 5.5 inch, an electronic image stabilization (EIS) system counteracts hand movements to ensure the resulting videos are stable and shake-free.

Privacy and Security

Since smartphones have become the primary device for most users, they tend to contain a plethora of personal and professional information, making it extremely important to ensure proper security of the device. An accurate fingerprint sensor comes in handy in such cases. At the same time, it is important for the sensor to be blazing fast in order to allow speedy access to the smartphone.

To ensure the user’s security, Zenfone 3 Max has a fingerprint sensor that is conveniently positioned near the top of the rear panel. The fingerprint sensor allows rapid locking or unlocking of the phone, and can also be used for authentication by other apps. It also registers up to five separate fingerprints, and accurately detects fingerprints regardless of the orientation of the finger on the sensor in as swiftly as 0.03 seconds.

Display

Smartphones have also become the device of choice for entertainment on-the-go. Busy lifestyles combined with the availability of multiple apps that offer free movies, videos and songs have made the users utilize their phone screens for more than just simple communication, making it mandatory for them to have HD displays. Additionally, it is important for the display to be safe for the user’s eyes and provide adequate blue light filter.

Zenfone 3 Max has a high-definition 5.2/5.5 inch LCD backlit display with a built-in Bluelight filter. The smartphone also features a '2.5D' contoured glass that helps the display fuse seamlessly into the diamond cut metallic chamfered edges, and adds to the premium comfort of holding the phone.

Performance

A smartphone should be able to provide superior performance and support the user’s daily needs. It needs to have good hardware specifications that can aid the users complete their tasks smoothly and without any lags.

Equipped with a powerful processor, Zenfone 3 Max delivers outstanding performance. Together with a 3GB RAM, the smartphone provides a greater responsiveness and ability to run graphically demanding games. While the internal memory of both variants is 32 GB, the 5.5 inch is further expandable to 128GB and the 5.2 inch to 32GB, allowing more than sufficient storage for your images, videos, games, etc.

User Interface

The user interface of a smartphone should be intuitive and easy-to-use. It should not slow down the smartphone and in fact, act in complete synchronization with the various features of the phone. The UI should be light, simple and make the smartphone experience of the user enjoyable.

Zenfone 3 Max runs on the latest version of Google Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), and features the latest ZenUI 3.0 interface. ZenMotion Touch Gesture allows the quick launch of apps from standby simply by writing a letter on the smartphone’s blank screen; GamGenie is a new game supporting app that automatically starts when a game launch is detected which allows users to stream live game screens to social media platforms, and provides an in-game browser useful for finding tips, walkthroughs, guide videos and cheats.

Find out how Paytm ensures security of your money

With the recent demonetisation move from Indian government online transactions have increased significantly as expected and one of the major beneficiary from this step are the online wallets. Paytm by far has emerged as most widely used and accepted digital wallet. Though government has introduced few other mechanisms to pay cashless, Paytm continues to be number one as it had a strong user base even before this step was taken and they have put in extra resources to monitor the situation and increase awareness about usage of mobile wallets.

Paytm App Password feature
As we move to digital wallets definitely there are many pros such as no need to carry hard cash all the time, pay exact amount without worrying about change, send money remotely etc, but when we look at the other side where cyber crimes are increasing day  by day and the fact that a small hack can cost us a huge amount which we have saved in our wallets or the thought of the cards added in wallets just force many users to take a step back.  To increase confidence in its users Paytm has implemented a number of security measures to ensure that your money is secure.

As a large payments company, Paytm’s servers and infrastructure are closely monitored by in-house security experts. They have round the clock multi-layered security protocol including IDP (Intrusion Detection and Protection) Layer over all our NOC's. Furthermore, they’ve been using bulletproof WAF's to protect our traffic injection. They also have multi-geography 24X7 SOC which constantly monitors the unique challenges that may occur in India.

Paytm systems are secure to the extent that even with a username and password it is not possible to login anyone's account owing to the multi-layered protection of OTP and device signature, which is also required for logging into the account.

Paytm continuously educates its existing and prospective users to not share their details with anyone over the phone. All these messages are reiterated through all communication channels to their users.

The study gathered interesting feedback from parents on their children's performance. Some of the insights and trends that the study revealed are:

- 97% of students said that they finished the lessons much faster when they learn via technology
- 82% parents said that they did not have to ask their children to use the app. Children took the initiative to learn and take tests/quizzes on their own on the app

India has over 260 million school going children. The increased adoption of smartphones across the country has brought in a lot of changes in education sector in the recent years. Smartphones are now increasingly being used as 'learning devices' by students across different grades and geographies. Technology is moulding the way children of different age groups learn. It has charted out a whole new way of learning for the younger generations.

This kind of data is used by big corporate to define their strategy and understand consumer behavior, thus Data Science and Big Data technologies are booming. Though the engineering craze has taken over the country from a long time, but still the prestigious colleges stand out of the competition and provide good quality engineers to the country. For example one can check IIT Guwahati cutoff for 2016 which provides insight as how difficult and competitive it is to get in one such institution.

Pravin Prakash, Co-founder, BYJU's said, "Our study reveals how technology can make a big impact in making learning more engaging for students. Use of technology in education introduces a whole new dimension to the way children learn and are taught. We have seen some great growth stories of students who have been using our app. The fact that parents are telling us how the sense of self-study is getting imbibed in their child because of learning via technology is a great testament to the quality of our products. Today, a lot of students across grades increasingly understand the benefit of learning the basics of every concept as opposed to just memorizing before the exam."
BYJU's is a content-first tech enabled education company that builds every product on a solid content foundation, which is backed by rich research and pedagogy. The strong 500+ in-house R&D Team uses technology at every step to make learning accessible and engaging. Pravin further added, "In India, the real impact of technology in education is yet to be realized. It is very encouraging to see students from across the nation using our app - especially from tier II and III cities. Fitbit continues to dominate as Fitness Wearables market lead by 3.1% in Third quarter :IDC Report

On one hand the smartwatch market took a tumble this quarter and on the other overall wearables market continued its growth with a 3.1% year over year growth in third quarter of 2016. otal wearables shipments reached 23 million in the quarter, according to data from the International Data Corporation, (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker.

Fitbit Charge 2

Fitbit was once again the market leader in 3Q16 as the vendor released a long awaited refresh for the Charge HR with the Charge 2. Despite recent negativity surrounding the company's long-term strategy and stock price, IDC expects Fitbit to continue leading the pack in the near term. The acquisition of Coin and the potential to expand into the smartwatch category present an opportunity for the company to be more than just a fitness brand. It is also speculated that Fitbit is buying smartwatch maker Pebble.

Top Five Wearable Device Vendors, Worldwide Shipments, Market Share and Year-Over-Year

Top Five Wearable Device Vendors
Basic wearables, primarily comprised of fitness bands, accounted for 85% of the market and experienced double-digit growth. Much of the increase was attributed to the launch of newer models, an expanding user base, and an enticing summer season that allowed people to step out of their homes. IDC expects the momentum for basic wearables to continue for the remainder of 2016 as the holiday season is now in full swing. However, smart wearables capable of running third party apps will likely continue to struggle in the near term.

"It's still early days, but we're already seeing a notable shift in the market," said Jitesh Ubrani senior research analyst for IDC Mobile Device Trackers. "Where smartwatches were once expected to take the lead, basic wearables now reign supreme. Simplicity is a driving factor and this is well reflected in the top vendor list as four out of five offer a simple, dedicated fitness device. Meanwhile, from a design perspective, many devices are focusing on fashion first while allowing the technology to blend in with the background."

"Smart wearables have been down in recent quarters, but clearly not out," noted Ramon Llamas, research manager for IDC's Wearables team. "As user tastes change, so will their needs. That's the opportunity for smart wearables with multi-functionality and third-party applications, both for consumers and business users. To get there, we need to see more intuitive user interfaces, seamless user experiences, standalone connectivity, and applications that go beyond health and fitness and into personal and professional productivity."

CouponRani Review: Get extra discounts on online shopping with lot of exclusive coupons in hand

The current situation in country was supposed to be chaotic because of the demonetization announced by current government, however that's not the case the life is going and the business as well. Thanks to the alternates to cash payments available in market. Well less or more the offline business has been affected by the move but for online business its a blessing in disguise. First it is affected very less with the recent move, may be more for cash on delivery orders  and second the user base has increased as with the cash crunch in current scenario online shopping and payments makes more sense. Not only new users are added but also the existing ones who were registered but not regular buyer have turned to online shopping. As for In store shopping people use to rely on their bargaining skills to save some money similarly in online shopping you have to be smart enough to know some hacks and tools to get extra discounts. (Also see Online vs In Store shopping scene in India).

Coupon Rani homepage

There are several ways to save money while shopping online as comparing the prices on different websites and the discount coupons play a very major role in this. These coupons are not readily available on the host website and one has to get them either by external websites or personally as promotional activities from the store. Today we are going to talk about one such website CouponRani.com , where you can get these discount coupons for variety of online stores.

If you are someone who know where you are going to shop for something you can directly search with the store name on the website and get all the available coupons. For example you can just visit Amazon offers section if you are going to shop from Amazon, or you can just explore the website for various stores and their coupons. This is pretty much the same what you get with other coupon websites but then there is an exclusive coupon section where in you get access to the discount coupons which are exclusive to CouponRani and hence there chances to work are even higher than the normal ones. The UI is user friendly and its pretty clean in navigation, you have a Home link, then you can browse either stores or you can visit various categories and get coupons from different stores in that category along with already mentioned exclusive coupons link. On the home page you have the slide show with most popular stores and offers, then we can see different cards such as featured coupons and then featured stores below that. On the side bar one can have a look on the top Exclusive coupons and also subscribe to the updates by entering his/her email id.

When you scroll down to bottom you can also see some stats there as how many coupons redeemed so far , number of coupons available, number of exclusive coupons and number of merchants listed on the website, at the time of writing these numbers read 16,236,915 & 14,840 &  376 & 3519 respectively.

CouponRani offers you lot more than just the coupons when you search for it, but also has a chrome extension which instantly gives you relevant coupons when you are shopping on any of the listed websites, this is the feature or module which we liked the most as many times we just don't remember to search for a coupon while shopping, in such cases this tool eliminates the need of manual search as it works automatically as you shop on the host website.

So, the bottom line is CouponRani does saves you lot of money and hence whether you have to order a pendrive or you want to order fresh meals online you get the convenience as well as save money with the use of various coupons from the portal. To try this website and give us your feedback in comments section.

Blaupunkt mobile accessories review: value for money with high quality standards

Germany based technology and consumer lifestyle brand Blaupunkt recently forayed into Indian markets. Blaupunkt has partnered with New Delhi based Vidur and Co. to introduce the products in SAARC markets. We have got three products from the company for review and we would like to share the experience using these accessories with you. To begin with the accessories we got for review are Blaupunkt wired earphone, car charger and USB cable.

Blaupunkt Earphones, Car Charger and USB Cable
 USB Cable:

The USB Cable from Blaupunkt we got is a micro to USB 2.0 cable with quick charging and quick data sync support, the micro USB part looks sturdy and hence gives confidence for durability of the same. The cable comes with more copper cables inside as claimed by the company and hence it supports Quick charge without any issues. (Quick charge capability depends on your charger output and phone SoC support). The cable comes with International Certification Quality and UI Approved cables and ROHS.

Car Charger:

The Car charger excited me the most as it offers so much for the price its available on Amazon. The car charger turned out to be a multi functional tool, first it has dual output, so you can charge two devices simultaneously. Each port can give 2.4 A max and 3.0 A max in total, which means you can get a quick charge when charging single device however while charging two devices at a time expect more time to get full charge.

This is more or less expected from a car charger but it comes with two pretty useful functionalities as the tip can be used to break the car glass in case of any emergency, and if you are stuck with your seat belt it has a very safe cutter which can be rubbed against the seat belt to cut it, if any such situation arises.

The coolest thing about this accessory is that it has a blue back lit branding when connected with the power socket of the car.

Blaupunkt car charger  in Action

The Ear-Phones:

We got in Earphones, with flat cable which makes them tangle free and easy to handle, we liked the slider volume control where in you can slide the slider down to lower the volume and move it upwards to increase it. The headphones comes with silicone ear tips and offers average bass and can handle a wider range of music for the one who wants to enjoy music on the go.

The ear phones comes with built in mic and pause button as well but it is not mounted on the same attachment as volume slider which adds to some confusion while using it and I personally did not like two different attachments which we are used to see as one. To conclude the earphones with tangle free cable, slider volume control and ability to handle a high range of frequency that too without cutting a deep hole in your pocket makes this earphone to enter our recommendation list.

Career in SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' Job

Recently I was having a conversation with one of my classmate about the Government jobs in India and what is the procedure to get selected, age criteria and other related stuff. To give you a background we did our schooling and B.Tech together but after B.Tech I started working in IT industry whereas my friend cleared Gate exam and did M.Tech from a government institute. He always dreamed of a government job and as expected he did not join the company he was placed in as he wanted to try for the sarkaari naukri. Currently he is working as an Assistant Manager in a Bank and soon he will be joining another bank as an IT officer with better payscale and facilities yet being a government employee. So now you know that he is the one who is preparing all time for these jobs and has fair idea about current situation in terms of selection process, reference material books etc. etc. During this conversation I have heard many familiar post names such as Locomotive Pilot, Bank PO, Excise Inspector but one name that caught my attention was the Stenographer.

So, first doubt in my mind was what exactly is a Stenographer isn't it the typist and searched for what does it actually mean. The definition for the term is "A stenographer is someone who types what people say. You have to listen carefully and type very fast to be a stenographer. On TV shows, you may have noticed someone typing everything the judge, lawyers, and witnesses say in a courtroom. That's the stenographer." Having a good typing speed ( I could type up to 35 words per minute at one time) I was interested to know more about it. When I searched for more information, I got to know that for this post exam is conducted by SSC and it is done at national level so getting the job is pretty difficult.

The SSC stenographer test is conducted for two different categories namely Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' out of which the test for former is tougher than the latter one. SSC Stenographer Exam is organized by the SSC and is scheduled to be conducted on July 31, 2016. It is an offline examination i.e. pen and paper based test. The SSC Stenographer Question paper is in English and Hindi (except for English language section) both with objective type questions. As per the SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern, the SSC Stenographer exam comprises of three sections or parts i.e. General Intelligence and Reasoning (Part I), General Awareness (Part II) and English Language and Comprehension (Part III).

The candidates who qualify the written examination of SSC Stenographer are shortlisted for the skill test for SSC Stenographer exam. The qualifying standards for the SSC Stenographer Skill Test will be set by the Commission as the test is qualifying in nature. The candidates have to hear carefully the dictation given to them for 10 minutes in English/Hindi.
They are required to type the same on a computer at a speed of 100 w.p.m. to be recruited for the post of a Grade C Stenographer, while for Grade D, he/she must type at a speed of 80 w.p.m. The candidates with Visual Impairment have to transcribe the matter in 75 minutes for English or 100 minutes for Hindi Shorthand if they are applying for Grade D Stenographer.
For Grade C, the Visually Handicapped candidates have to transcribe the matter in 75 minutes for English or 95 minutes for Hindi shorthand test. The skill test for SSC Stenographer will be held at Regional or Sub-Regional Offices or other centers as decided by the Commission. The transcription is evaluated electronically post submission.
