ASUS launches new Zenfone Selfie with 3 GB/16 GB and Dual 13 MP Laser Auto Focus Camera

ASUS has been quite successful with its Zenfone brand in Smartphone market and Zenfone Selfie launched last year is one of the most successful phones from the brand. Today ASUS launched a newer version of Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) in India.

Zenfone Selfie (2016) comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM for better and faster multitasking. The device comes with a 16 GB internal memory (32 GB would have been better fit) but to compensate that it comes with capability of extensible memory upto 128 GB.  The Zenfone Selfie also comes with a specially designed diamond cut back for pleasing aesthetics and luxury design experience. The device comes with a 13MP front camera with a f/2.2-aperture, wide-angle (88-degree) lens, dual color real tone flash and selfie panorama. It also supports macro photography that allows the users to capture objects over 6cm. The phone also sports a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.0-aperture, auto- laser focus lens and a dual-color real tone flash. MicroSD card support ensures that users always have space to save their precious memories. A heavy duty battery of 3000mAh also enables diverse and heavy modes of usage.

The device is currently available online on Amazon for a price of Rs 12,999/- and is also expected to hit retail stores from September onwards.

UCWeb's 9Apps Forays into eCommerce aggregator and price comparison will compete with likes of Junglee, MySmartPrice

9Apps, a leading android marketplace and part of Alibaba Mobile Business Group, has announced its foray into the lucrative e-commerce space in India. 9Apps will now offer multiple and exciting new features on its app for shopaholics, along with its existing role as India’s leading provider of android apps and games. The move marks a major shift in the company’s strategy for India market and is expected to benefit 9Apps’ 250 million monthly active users (MAUs).




9Apps plans to offer Comparative Pricing where users can compare product prices from 8 different sellers – namely Paytm, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal, Jabong, Askmebazar, Voonik and Shopclues. The Discount Aggregation/Coupon Zone is a one-stop shop for all discounts and coupon codes available on 9Apps. Not just that - users also get a discount of value 50 INR for free when they sign up for Amazon via 9Apps. 9Apps marked the announcement through a mega shopping festival, starting July 25, 2016.

Entering into coupon/comparison based revenue model which in turn is mostly based upon affiliate marketing, 9Apps will directly compete with Junglee, MySmartPrice, ShopPirates, CouponRaja etc. For those who don't know about affiliate marketing, it is in common terms the referral commission which is paid by the site to which user is directed from the original website. The tracking for the same is done from affiliate unique id for that website which is also a part of the URL of the landing page.

Announcing the launch of the service, Ebrahim Popat, Country Manager, 9Apps said, “9Apps is the first app marketplace to offer these services to users. With these features, we aim to become a one-stop solution for our users and help them shop smart. 9Apps is much more than just a tool to download apps and games.
