Viber, with 200 million strong user base on mobile platform has launched its desktop service. Viber is already popular among mobile users on different mobile platforms which include iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows, Nokia and Bada OS. Viber for smartphones can be seen as a combination of whatsapp and Skype which provides free text, call and photos sharing services over internet.
Viber has recently announced that they have 200 million regular users but still it has to go a long way to reach its rival Skype with a user base of 600 million+ users.
