For the first time after being acquired by British telecom giant New Call Telecom Ltd. Indian mobile technology brand Nimbuzz has announced launch of its new call management platform - Holaa. Holaa will directly compete with TrueCaller which is already much popular. Holaa's main function is to identify unknown callers and display it with location information live.It also helps users to identify spammers and block unwanted calls. App has its strength in crowd sourced database of contacts.
Holaa enables its users to search for names on based of their phone numbers and alerts if number is marked as spam by other members of the community. Holaa evolves its accuracy even more by synchronizing with Facebook and Google accounts into the phonebook at same time which enhances user experience even more with latest photos.
Holaa is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Persian and Portuguese on Android devices, however its not available on iOS as of now.
"Holaa! has been developed completely in India by a team of 13 young developers and reflects the confidence we have in the potential of the market here. Nimbuzz's technologies will be a key part of our vision of an integrated 'my digital life' ecosystem," New Call Telecom CEO Nigel Eastwood said.
On launch Vikas Saxena, CEO, Nimbuzz India said that 40% of calls received by a pre-paid mobile user are from unknown numbers and on an average 25% of those calls are spam calls. Thus its the need of masses to identify and block such calls.

How it is different from TrueCaller?
- Block unknown calls while Roaming: - Holaa keeps a tab when user is away from home network and notifies if user wish to block calls from unknown numbers.
- Update phonebook:- Holaa provides additional information about phonebook contacts regularly which user can easily add within existing contacts by using merge feature.
- Share contact information: Holaa allows users to share contact information whether already in phonebook or about unknown contacts using share option.
